Social Networking with FiOS TV

Verizon launched the improvements to Tweeter and Facebook FiOS TV widgets. With the fresh enhancements, FiOS subscribers can send tweets and upgrade Facebook account in real time.

The company is concentrating on adding new functionalities to improve customer experience in social networking. With FiOS TV service subscribers will enjoy additional ways to connect with each other.

“The Widget Bazaar” recently open, marking a new era of enhanced FiOS FiOS TV experience, including internet video, sports channels and social networking sites. This launched is aimed at providing FiOS users to obtain new widgets and bazaars. Verizon will also be opening “The Widget Bazaar” to third party developers under revenue sharing agreement.

Because of the tough competition on Triple Play packages, Verizon is not being easy on its marketing strategy. They face the challenge by offering more features for its FiOS TV service.

Verizon’s future development plan includes more FiOS TV and FiOS online offers. The company also shows a steady growth for the past years. Verizon had about a few million customers of its FiOS TV marked at the end of 2009’s second-quarter. Verizon will also be able to compete with the telecommunication industry player like AT&T and Sprint once they have fully expanded their coverage and enhance their wireless service providing 4G capabilities.
